Last weekend, most of Shawn's family came out to Utah for the Floyd and Fanny Patten family reunion on the 4th, which happens to be Shawn's birthday.
We started the fun out on Friday by going to Thanksgiving Point and seeing the dinosaur museum with Shawn's brother Cory's family. It was a lot of fun and we learned some pretty cool stuff! 
Later that night, the boys (Cory, Shawn, Jimmy and Kristal's soon to be brother-in-law) journeyed up to the great place of Evenston Wyoming to purchase a plethera of fireworks. We had an awesome 4th celebration and Shawn got to do what he loves best on his birthday: blow up things. We went to Provo for the reunion, then to Grandpa Patten's for the birthday/4th of July extravaganza. They flooded the back yard with irrigation water and had a blast; literally. Shawn and Cory put on quite the show! Half way through, we sang Happy Birthday to Shawn and ate some birthday cake.It was great to see his family. I'm so happy to soon be part of the Patten clan.
